Changeling
Changeling presents the fire and stark beauty of the Celtic traditions with (in the words of one fan) "the power of ten in a package of two." They travel from concert halls to dance halls, delighting fans and winning friends with their tunes, songs and stories.
Hi folks -- here it is, for a limited time only -- Grace O'Malley the Pirate, the new single from Mad River Music Works (a division of Changeling (Enterprises) Ltd. We wish the McGing Irish Dancers tremendous success at the Worlds! madcelts.com/mp3s/… [More…]
Can you imagine what it would sound like if Flutio (Brian McCoy of the Kells), Craig Markley of Lone Raven, Tom Boyer of Great Big Spanking Records and Changeling made a record together? We can.

Stay tuned folks: in the next day or two, we will be putting up a limited-time-only link to an mp3 of a new single (which we will release officially some time in the future) of a project launching a new line of business for Changeling (Enterprises) Ltd.'s brand new Mad River Music Works division: custom soundtrack music for Irish dance choreography. Tell your friends to come like this page and download the track! :-)
Thanks to everyone who came out to the St. Patrick's Day shows! We note: last year St. Patrick's Day was sunny, 75F, and completely awesome. So we gladly accepted another outdoor gig this St. Patrick's Day.

It snowed while we were playing, and the pipers who . . . how do we say this . . . followed tradition in terms of what they were and were not wearing under their kilts . . . froze their chanters off.

Well played Ohio-Weather-of-Ultimate-Evil, well played.

As some of you know, our second daughter Miss Adelia Ann Clark Colón was born on July 25, 2011. After a wonderful 6 months of getting settled in and a few gigs under our belt, we are now working our way back toward the road with the much-demanded and long-awaited live album: Changeling: Live in England. The album is now off at the mastering studio, and our plan is to have it ready some time in March. And, we seem to be booking again!

As strange as it is to say it, this version web site is now a whopping twelve years old, and www.madcelts.com is a teen-ager: 16, to be precise. We are going to take the best of the look and feel of the site and bring it up to speed for the 21st Century. We are working with the wondeful Geoff Duncan of Actual Consulting (who has done all of our web sites for all 16 years) and we think you will like the results. :-)

And, we seem to be booking again. Astonishing. We are playing four shows in March (not all of them public), a teensy bit in April, two gigs in May (including a pretty incredible one in Louisville, Ky with the Hot Point String Band), a wedding for Deborah's first fiddle student in June (Yikes!), and it looks like at least a couple of big festivals in the summer.
