Welcome to the Discography page, which has information about our albums, including lyrics for our most recent, The Hidden World.

The Hidden World is Changeling's latest album. The Hidden World is an exploration of the different faces of Celtic Music: fiery dance tunes and songs are woven together seamlessly with laments, tales of ordinary life and stories of the Gentry or S’dhe (now called the Faeries). The powerful musicianship and stripped-down arrangements – most tracks have guitar, fiddle and voice only – deeply evoke the stark beauty, joys and sorrows of the Celtic experience It is at once upbeat, accessible, obscure and eerie, and thatÕs quite a trick. Síofra is Changeling's first album. Originally recorded in 1994 as a demo, we had so much fun recording it that we added a few tracks in 1995 and released it as a shortie CD in January, 1996.

Recorded at the Audio Workshop in Cincinnati, Ohio with Roger Cadle at the knobs and sliders, Síofra has the great charm and spark and a few of the rough edges that come from the days when young musicians learn about the studio. It has been praised for its warm feeling, energy and musicality. Everyone's consistent favorites are Johnny Cope and Tripping Up The Stairs. Drop by MP3.com to listen to both tracks.

Síofra is a Gaelic word, and means "Changeling". It's pronounced "SHOW-fra." No, its not terribly original. :-) The tracks on the album are:

The Train Set

Johnny Cope

The Ross Memorial Hospital

Out On The Ocean

The Federals

Breton Gavotte Set

Star Of The County Down

Tripping Up The Stairs

The Broken Pledge

Síofra is currently out of print.

The Wild Hunt is the album Deborah and Karl recorded while they were members of The Gabriel Hounds. Recorded in January and February of 1997 at OATH Studios in Columbus, Ohio with Ged Foley producing and Tom Boyer at the knobs and sliders. It features the dancing feet of John Timm, the 1993 Men's All-Ireland Step Dancing Champion, and has some great songs, killer tunes, and lovely airs.

The band (at that time) was Deborah (fiddle, viola), Karl (guitar, vocals), Eddie Cotter, Jr. (bodhran and percussion) and Brian McCoy (flute and whistles). Terry Blankenship (bouzouki, mandola, mandolin, vocals) later joined the band, but (sadly) is not on this record.

The tracks on the album include:

The Swing Thing: Jig of Slurs/Cliffs of Moher/Farewell to Erin

Gypsies

Lord MacDonald's/Paddy Ryan's Dream/The Skylark Bruach Na Carraige Bain/Mary's Garden

The Young Serving Man

The Rights of Man/The Three Sea Captains

The Newry Highwayman

Marjorie Kirilenko's Waltz

The Sauntering Jigs: Ninth of July/Old Chimney Corner/White Sails In The Bay

A Stor Mo Chro’

The Squandered Fortune

The Columbus Highlander's Farewell To Castlekelly/The Funky Set

The Wild Hunt is currently out of print.
